Super Success fusion grants an additional 100% boost experience for 200% total. Great Success fusion gives an additional 50% boost EXP for 150% total.
There are two kinds of success Exp boosts. The fusing success bonus is purely based on luck, however there are some events that grant higher success rate boost. So that you can pump more cards into a character without leveling it up too much. So when you are doing BB leveling, it is almost always the best to use a card of a different element, to keep the XP earned down.
